VBSA Skim Camp is an opportunity to hone in your skills outside of private lessons. You will get to meet local and visiting riders who you will get to learn beside and compete against to push each others skimboarding. From experience, the best riders surround themselves with better riders to constantly improve their own skill sets, so we want to provide that opportunity to others in and visiting our area. Throughout the day we will be discussing:
- How To Step Onto Board To Maintain Speed
- Wave Selection
- Wave Approach
- How To Turn Under the Lip
- Wave Riding Basics
- Technical Maneuvers/Tricks
- How To Fall To Avoid Injury
- Skimboarding Etiquette
- Water Safety
- Beach & Ocean Preservation
Camps happen regardless of weather unless there is lightning. There are no refunds. If there is lightning we will reschedule to the next day available for camp, or the next best date for you. Cancellation will be made by 8am the day of the camp.
